Dear fellow parent and supporter of public education:

You are invited to meet with Assembly Member Cameron Smyth this coming
Friday, April 27, 2012, 11:30AM at his office located at 23734 Valencia
Blvd., Suite 303 to discuss education issues. Though Mr. Smyth is termed
out, he is till responsible for producing the new state budget for the
2012-2013 fiscal year which is due June 30, 2012.

Please come and build a profile of our school community, so that Member
Smyth hears first-hand from the parents what it's like from your
perspective. Yes, he is also a parent in our school community, but each
district is handling the challenges differently. Your voice is important.
Please come. And yes, you can bring a friend. I'd like to fill his office!

Let me know by Wednesday, April 25 if you can make it.

We have close to half of our current 7th graders that have not made their elective selections for 8th grade. If you have not made you selections for 8th grade yet, go to our website on the homepage and click on the link to Make your Selections. The deadline has been extended until Friday, April 8, 2012!!! Please make your selections or your classes will be selected for you! Even if you are applying for a teacher approval class, you still need to make your selections of 6 different classes just in case you do not get the class you apply for.
